Volcano Vineyards 2008 Merlot SOLD OUT!!!

These merlot grapes are from Fortmiller Vineyard in southern Oregon.  The vineyard site sits at 1800 feet and harvests later than much of the Rogue Valley.  The resulting merlot grapes are concentrated, complex and rich.  The wine spent three years in french oak.  A perfect pairing with steak, hard cheeses and mushrooms.

Volcano Vineyards 2008 Syrah

Our 2008 syrah from Lakeside Vineyard in southern Oregon is reminiscent of the 2005 (which won Best of Show at the 2008 National Women's Wine Competition). Blueberry aromas, dried dark cherry flavors with the classic hint of white pepper on the finish, this wine works well with olives, capers, lemons, salad greens and most bar-b-ques fare.  Only 80 cases - it won't last long!
